Skip Craigslist, just go to the Apple Store

Finally decided to get an iPad this Friday (or whatever day I happen to make my way over there).  I thought it would be great to get my 4 year old an older iPad (either 1 or 2).  He loves it and I figured the cost would drop on the older models.  So off to Craigslist!  Unfortunately, everybody on there is asking in the $400 range.  What's a dad to do?  Well check out the refurbished iPads on the Apple site.  You can get a refurbished 16GB for $349.  Better yet, it comes with a new battery and outer shell.  Great deal if you want an iPad and do not want to spend $500.  Check out prices here.

It may be a long shot, Stolen Camera Finder

Many modern cameras include the camera's serial number in the Exif data stored inside each photo.  If you ever have your camera stolen, this information may actually help you get the camera back.  A site called Stolen Camera Finder crawls the Internet searching for digital photos and collecting the serial numbers of the camera that took them.  If your camera is tolen, this site can extract the camera's serial number and search it's database for a match. 

Learn math online!

I am currently taking a College Math 2 class, which I must say is.....painful.  Anyway, I wish I had found this website about 7 weeks ago, I might be better off.  Khan Academy is a site that has countless mathematical equations that are explained and illustrated in clear detail on a virtual blackboard.  In addition, to the video lessons on math, science and a number of other subjects, there are also practice exercises to help you put your new knowledge to use.

Review: Brookstone iPhone Projector

I really wanted this to work.  After all, at $229, it should work.  The idea is simple, slide your iphone into the extended battery pack projector and display your video output on a screen up to 50".  The display in the store worked as advertised, but not after I bought it.  It simply did not work....damn.  I must say that the return went smoothly and without issue.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply pause the movie?

Problem, you are watching a movie and you have to use the bathroom.  Simply hit pause.  Well, if you are in the theatre, I don't think they will honor the request.  Wouldn't it be nice to know when the movie gets a little boring and go then?  As I said, the Internet has it all.  Try Runpee, this site is dedicated  to tell you at what point in any given movie you can run and go to the bathroom.  Seriously

How can a rapper cheat when writing his lyrics?  Think about it, how do you come up with good words to rhyme with?   Maybe they are using www.rhymer.com.  This free online site displays rhymes for any proper English word you can think of.  It will also link to dictionary definitions and a thesaurus.
