Quicken is dying a slow death, finally...

For those who have been regular  computer users over the past 10 -15 years, you probably are very familiar with Quicken.  A money management software package from Intuit.  It has been the dominant program for those who wanted to keep track of their finances.  I've never been a fan of these programs.  Don't get me wrong, they work fine and serve the purposes of many people, I've just never thought the software was worth the excessive price tag.  Add in that Intuit would make you upgrade every three years to keep using it, I avoided it.  Well, thanks to Mint (which Intuit purchased), Quicken is dying.  Users turned to Mint, an free online alternative.  It did pretty much everything that Quicken did, without the price tag.  It has been so successful that Quicken sales have fallen off a cliff and Intuit purchased it.  Mint continues to be free and Intuit has indicated that it is the future and not Quicken.  Hallelujah!  For the article with more information, click here.
