Free Home Inventory Spreadsheet, download now

As someone who suffered through an apartment fire a few years ago, there was a hard lesson to be learned, keep an inventory of what you own!  Insurance companies are not keen on paying for anything without some proof.  Vertex42 is an excellent site on everything Microsoft Excel.  They are currently making a free home inventory spreadsheet available for all.  Simply download and fill in the information pertaining to your home.  It is already preloaded with common household posessions, but is fully customizable.  Print out or save the document in a safe place and you are good to go in the event of something bad happening.
