Attention: Microsoft does not call you....ever

Periodically an old scam will come back as a new scam and today was an example.   One of my dear customers got a cold call from "Microsoft" claiming that they detected several issues with her computer and were calling to help out.  After tinkering with the computer online for a bit, my dear customer got wise when they requested her credit card number for some bogus software that was going to fix what they intentionally screwed up.  Reminder, Microsoft does not call anyone offering to help you with your Windows issues.  Never.  Never.  Now they will call you to remind you that your technet subscription is expiring and would you like to renew over the phone (gotten a few of those calls).  Just hang up when you get a cold call about your computer.
