The decision that GoDaddy will regret

We can thank the general public for the recent failure of SOPA to get passed in Congress.  Seems when people realized what the law was going to do, not many people were willing to stand for it.   GoDaddy, the famous Internet Domain name registrar, came out early to support the law.  Well, due to that support, over 21,000 customers decided to leave GoDaddy and take their business elsewhere.  It's great to know that the public can still rise up and make a company do the right thing.  For more on the story, check it out here.

Another reason to hate that Big Box Store

Seems like one of my mosted hated stores is up to their old (and new) tricks again.  If you placed an order online for one of the "great" deals offered on Black Friday, you may be in for a shock.  Seems like the chain has canceled many of your orders.  No particular reason given and just in time to stick it to you for Christmas.  Check out more here.  (I refuse to use the name of the store on my site)

Sometimes waiting is the best option

One of the apps that I always wanted to get was an app called LogmeIn Ignition.  It would allow you to remotely control your home computer from your iPhone or iPad.  For almost two years I resisted because it cost $29.99.  Also, I used an app called NTRconnect, which did pretty much the same thing.  Well, the wait is over.  LogmeIn has dropped the price to FREE!  Why, I do not know, but it was well worth the wait.

Google Chrome #2 now

Google Chrome has passed Firefox as the second most popular Internet Browser used by computer users.  Last month, Chrome accounted for 25.7% of all global use.  Firefox finished at 25.2%  Internet Explorer is still number one with 40.6%.  I still like Firefox, but I have to admit Chrome is extremely fast.  Check out more here.

Google giving away 100 free songs,..really

Normally I tell customers to stay away from any site giving away music.  Typically, it's something illegal or has a catch.  Well Google has joined the fray and surprisingly, it's legal, and there is no gotcha.  Google has a promotion going right now where if you have an android device, you can download 100 free songs from the Android market.  No catch, no money, just 100 free songs.  Even if you do not have an Android device, if you have a free Google Music account, you can get the same deal (iPhone users, such as myself, are smiling right now).  For more check out the article.
